How do you play Fifteen Puzzle?
Fifteen Puzzle gives you a grid of numbered tiles with one empty space. Click or tap any tile adjacent to the empty space to slide it into the gap. Keep sliding until all numbers are in order from 1 to N²-1, with the empty space at bottom-right.
Is every Fifteen Puzzle arrangement solvable?
No. About half of all possible arrangements are unsolvable due to parity constraints. The puzzles here are generated by starting from the solved state and making random legal moves, guaranteeing every puzzle has a solution.
What's the optimal strategy for Fifteen Puzzle?
Work row by row from top-left. First solve the top row (1,2,3,4), then the second row, and so on. The final 2x2 section requires a specific rotation technique to place the last tiles correctly.
